I AM Alicia Dawn Farris, returning to Fine Arts after a long hiatus brought on by 3 joyfully welcomed responsibilities (my beautiful children).
I MOST enjoy painting with acrylics on canvas, but there is really no media to which I will up-turn my nose. I am endlessly intrigued by the possibilities!
CURRENTLY, my painting is more of a compulsion than a desire. I have a lot of ideas and images floating around in my head and feel the need to get them out on canvas/paper to "clear the clutter" so to speak.
MY TRUE DESIRE regarding art is to teach. As a homeschooling mom, I have had various students come to my home for drawing lessons, painting lessons, and art history lessons. Their excitement over the accessibility of art is invigorating to me.
